LEGAL ADVOCACY
Our legal team of 3 attorneys and 2 advocates provide survivors of domestic violence with information, support and an understanding of their legal rights. DVCC advocates in the Stamford and Norwalk criminal courts, can help navigate the criminal justice system and provide ongoing guidance.

COUNSELING SERVICES

Our professional team of counselors provides crisis intervention, safety planning and individual and group counseling in both English and Spanish. Regardless of age, gender, race, culture, religion, sexual identity, socio-economic or educational level, we are here to help.

SUSTAINABILITY ACT

We provide our clients with economic solutions that drive employment, education, housing and sustainable futures; assistance with budgeting, managing finances and finding affordable permanent housing.

EMERGENCY SAFE HOUSE

Temporary shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Whether for a few days or a few weeks, DVCC residences offer a safe house where healing and recovery can take place.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

PeaceWorks preventive education provides tools for pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade youth in order to help them learn how to solve conflicts peacefully and maintain healthy relationships. PeaceWorks also teaches empathy, tolerance, self-awareness and respect towards others.

17,715 students engaged in Preventive Education through PeaceWorks in 2017 – 2018.
