Volunteers & Donations

Volunteers are an integral part of the DVCC mission, and their contributions to agency programs and services are invaluable. DVCC offers multiple opportunities for volunteer involvement within the following two categories: direct service volunteering and indirect service volunteering. Your generous contribution of time, energy, and creativity is needed and appreciated.

Direct Service Volunteers

Direct service volunteers work directly with clients through our victim services. Possible tasks include working in our safe houses, answering the hotline, and facilitating support groups. Direct service volunteers are required to complete a 20-hour certification training to become a certified domestic violence counselor before working with clients. This training is provided in-house by DVCC.

Indirect Service Volunteers

Indirect service volunteers help with a wide variety of projects and initiatives including fundraising events, holiday program support, community projects, and outreach.

Community Donations

Unfortuntely, we are unable to accept donations of food, clothing or furniture at this time. Gift card donations are always greatly appreciated to help our clients with basic needs. Please check back here for updates as we will post requests for specific urgently needed items.

Thank you for  your understanding.
