VOICES OF COURAGESpring Luncheon is hosted annually by the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC), this fundraising event raises awareness about domestic violence and highlights ongoing survivor empowerment and support activities. All proceeds from the event go to support services that the DVCC provides to thousands of victims of domestic violence each year. As the agency’s premiere fundraising event, the luncheon affords significant financial support for SafeHouses and critical programs. All services are offered free of cost. 

KEYNOTE SPEAKER, Jackson Katz, is an educator, author, filmmaker and cultural theorist who is internationally renowned for his pioneering scholarship and activism on issues of gender, race, and violence. He has long been a major figure and thought leader in the growing global movement of men working to promote gender equality and prevent gender violence. He has created a gender violence prevention and education program entitled Mentors in Violence Prevention, which is used by U.S. military and varioussporting organizations.
