Information, in the form of presentations, informal meetings and educational trainings, has been flowing between the DVCC and the Norwalk Community Health Center. At our monthly staff meeting on August 18, NCHC social workers talked about the services, programs and professional staff at the Health Center, located at 120 Connecticut Avenue in South Norwalk.

On August 10 and September 7 Susan Delaney, Director of DVCC's Medical Advocacy Project (MAP), and Dr. Isabel Butrymowicz, a volunteer medical consultant for MAP, provided trainings to resident physicians at the Health Center on screening techniques and referral information for victims of domestic abuse. A third training is scheduled for October. And beginning September 21, DVCC counselor advocates will take part in the Health Center's monthly pre-natal orientations, in which NCHC invites service providers from the community to meet with and offer information and assistance to prospective mothers.
