DVCC's Medical Advocacy Project continues to make inroads into the medical community, as advocates provide trainings and presentations throughout our catchment area and beyond. DVCC's MAP is the first program of its kind in Connecticut. Recently MAP staff provided trainings on intimate partner violence to doctors and researchers at Yale New Haven Hospital, residents at the Norwalk Community Health Center and nursing students at Norwalk Community College's School of Nursing.

MAP Director Susan Delaney also spoke to the Weston Domestic Violence Task Force about the project, its partnership with Stamford Hospital and its efforts to form a similar relationship with Norwalk Hospital as well as provide trainings to private clinics and physician's offices.
