Westport Domestic Violence Task Force Holds Collection for DVCC SafeHouses

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The Westport Domestic Violence Task Force is holding a drive to collect much needed items for the DVCC SafeHouses during the last two weeks of October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Numerous departments and businesses in town are sponsoring collection boxes, including the Westport Police Department, The Westport Fire Department, Westport Human Services (located at Westport Town Hall), Kaia Yoga, the Unitarian Church, and the Westport/Weston YMCA. Needed items include new/unopened toiletries, baby supplies, diapers, linens, pajamas, socks, underwear, etc. A complete list will be posted on each box.

DVCC thanks the Westport Task Force, the participating departments and businesses and the individuals who donate. Your generosity will assist the more than 400 individuals – victims of domestic violence and their children – who seek safety and shelter in our SafeHouses each year.
