Energy, enthusiasm and a lot of moms willing to dig through their closets, attics and kids' toy chests were the ingredients that resulted in a super-successful tag sale that benefitted the DVCC. CT-Moms, an online networking organization for mothers in Fairfield County, organized the event held on May 2nd at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Stamford. Over $1,400 was raised for the agency through moms who bought table space to sell their wares, direct donations and business sponsorships.

"We are proud to support the victims, survivors and families in our community who are affected by the horror of violence in their own homes and the staff and volunteers who care for them," said Medha Thomas, who is the founder of CT-Moms and a certified volunteer for the DVCC.

During the day, Thomas and other DVCC volunteers and staff members also gave out information and answered questions about domestic violence and the services provided by the agency.
