Cutting Edge Technology For DVCC And ESPERANZACT Websites

Open up just about any website on your smart phone or tablet. Then close it and open up the DVCC (www.dvccct.org) or EsperanzaCT (www.esperanzact.org) website for an "ah ha" moment. Both of our websites have been converted to Responsive Web Design (RWD), a cutting-edge approach to web design intended to provide an optimal viewing experience -- easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning and scrolling -- across a wide range of devices.

"We are so pleased to be able to provide this technology to our clients and to the community," said Rachelle Kucera Mehra, DVCC's Executive Director. "Many of the people we serve don't have regular access to a computer, but do have another device on which they can access the internet. With this new design, they will be able to easily experience all we have to offer. It's just one more way that the DVCC strives to make our services and information readily available to victims of domestic violence and to anyone who wants to know more about our work."

Very few websites -- even some of the biggest media companies, such as the New York Times, CNN and Fox News -- currently offer responsive design.
