The Domestic Violence Crisis Center is pleased to invite members of the community to a presentation by one of the foremost thinkers and a highly respected researcher, writer and teacher in the field of domestic and intimate partner violence. Please join us at one of the sessions listed below.

Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell has been engaged in advocacy and policy work and has conducted ground-breaking research in the areas of domestic violence and health outcomes for over 30 years. Her research has included risk factors and assessment for intimate partner homicide, abuse during pregnancy, marital rape, and physical and mental health effects of IPV, and has been used as the basis of health policy recommendations on a local, national and global level.

Dr. Campbell is the Anna D. Wolf Chair and Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with a joint appointment in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her B.S.N., M.S.N. and Ph.D. are from the schools of nursing at Duke University, Wright State University and the University of Rochester, respectively.

She has received funding continuously since 1984 as a primary investigator on National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other governmental research projects, including 10 major NIH, National Institute of Justice and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention research grants, and has published more than 220 articles and seven books on violence against women. She is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine and the American Academy of Nursing and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Futures Without Violence.
